Purpose of study:
We are conducting a research study for people with type 1 diabetes comparing a once weekly basal insulin to once daily basal insulin.
We will provide participants one of two different long-acting insulins at no cost, to see how much it helps with managing blood sugars. We are also providing mealtime insulin at no cost. We are doing this study to look at how much a new investigational once weekly insulin improves blood sugar in people with type 1 diabetes. This will be compared to a currently available once daily basal insulin.
Participants will receive a stipend for completed visits.
Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) supplies will be provided at no cost.
Inclusion Criteria:
We are inviting all adults who:
– Have type 1 diabetes
– Take multiple injections of insulin a day
– Have an A1C 7-10%.
– Meet other study specific requirements
