Overview/research interests: I have been engaged with research projects and creating care guides to increase the quality of life for patients recovering from and dealing with lifelong spinal cord injuries. My research and practice when it comes to spinal cord injury are centered on encouragement, hope and restoration for my patients.
Current research activities and funding:
- PI, Discharge Outcomes in Spinal Cord Injury Patients after Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation. Funder: HealthPartners Institute. In this project, I plan to build a systems at Regions Hospital for accurate and consistent data collection processes so information collected from our patients can contribute to national database registries that are used in research and improve patient outcomes in spinal cord injuries.
