Overview
abstract
  • The National Dental Practice-Based Research Network, a consortium of practices and dental organizations focused on practice-based research devoted to improving the nation's oral health, welcomes endodontists to join its effort. The National Dental PBRN conducts practical research for the benefit of day-to-day clinical practice. Endodontists who participate in the network can contribute research project ideas, participate in studies that benefit their specialty and network with other dental professionals and researchers. Divided into six geographic regions to facilitate operations, the network is poised to conduct research important to the daily practice of dentistry. This initiative, supported by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health), welcomes the full participation of all types of endodontists (i.e. private practitioners, educators, researchers and residents). By signing up and joining, you are providing yet another voice within the network to advocate for your specialty. Besides demonstrating interest for research to focus on endodontic topics, the recruitment of endodontists builds capacity to conduct such research, both of which are required to conduct impactful endodontic clinical research. National Dental PBRN website has information to answer your questions, publishes highlights of previous studies, allows you to submit future study ideas, and features many helpful videos.
