Assessment of fitness, health, and well-being in the occupational setting: a pragmatic approach. Journal Article uri icon
Overview
abstract
  • Worksite health promotion and health and fitness professionals play an important role in the assessment of fitness, health, and well-being for workers. Relatively simple field-based and written (digital or paper-based) assessments provide evidence-informed yet pragmatic options for a well-balanced set of assessments and measurements that can be applied to workers. Selections also should be based on the specific work arrangements such as those who work from home, in-person at the company or organization, or in a hybrid option. Application of the proposed taxonomy will support consistent and balanced implementation of assessments for worker fitness, health, and well-being.
