HealthPartners Institute improves care, health and well-being through research, education and practice. We are part of HealthPartners, the largest consumer-governed, nonprofit health care organization in the nation.
Our shared mission is to improve health and well-being in partnership with members, patients and the community. Our vision: health as it could be, affordability as it must be, through relationships built on trust.
We conduct hundreds of research studies each year to advance treatment, care and systems to improve lives and share findings across the world. We are active in many areas of research, including health services, survey-based, behavioral intervention, clinical and basic science. We are a leader and participant in 10 national research networks that include other large health care systems. Meet our investigators. Learn about the internal services we provide to support research and education.
We support the clinical learning environment at HealthPartners by providing accreditation, resources and support for the training of many health professions. We work with program leaders, clinician educators and community schools to educate residents, fellows, medical students and advanced practice clinician students. Our programs offer students experiences in a variety of areas in outpatient and inpatient settings. Meet our clinician educators.
The combination of research and education in an organization that includes hospitals, clinics and a health plan creates a unique synergy that broadens our reach. As a result, we have incredible opportunities to make discoveries and then develop and implement ideas and solutions based on evidence. This synergy also allows us to influence health policy on a local, regional and national scale.
The varied backgrounds and experience of Institute leaders creates a diverse and dedicated team. They work closely with HealthPartners colleagues and our Board of Directors. They also connect with research and education experts from around the world. Our leaders serve on many boards, committees, advisory panels and think tanks to share and to learn.
Our impact on health and well-being is driven by the connection of research and education to patient care. We house several centers that focus on these connections.
