Dr. Vijayakumar practices hematology and medical oncology, treating various cancers including, but not limited to breast cancer, lung cancer, myeloma and other non-cancer blood disorders. Complex medical problems such as cancer can overwhelm patients and their families. She strives to educate her patients on their medical problems and help them make medical decisions based on current scientific evidence. Dr. Vijayakumar hopes to be a part of their care team providing medical and emotional support to the patient and their families. She also considers offering clinical trials for patients if appropriate.
