Jeanette Y. Ziegenfuss, PhD
Director of Survey and Evaluation Sciences, Center for Evaluation and Survey Research
"When research and evaluation rely on the active participation of patients, members, and the community, it is crucial to understand how design decisions influence experiences and outcomes. High-quality recruitment processes and surveys not only yield superior data for individual studies, exemplifying good stewardship, but also create opportunities to advance survey methods and recruitment science."
About

Dr. Jeanette Ziegenfuss is the Director of Survey and Evaluation Sciences at HealthPartners Institute and leads the Center for Evaluation and Survey Research (CESR). As a Senior Investigator and expert in health services research and survey methodology, she has partnered on multiple hundreds of studies since 2012, centered on the voice and involvement of research participants.

Dr. Ziegenfuss serves as the site Principal Investigator for the Connect for Cancer Prevention study and the All of Us Research Program at HealthPartners, guiding cohort recruitment, retention, and survey data collection. This work is pivotal in understanding the interrelated factors of health and disease.

Additionally, Dr. Ziegenfuss focuses on right-sizing robust research methods tailored for health system evaluation, providing actionable insights through numerous studies conducted by the CESR team. One such study explores the impact of individual research participation on perceptions of the health care system.
