Career
Laura Liu is an independent board director and retired senior executive. In addition to the HealthPartners board, she currently chairs the Finance Committee of the board of Collective Measures, a performance marketing agency based in Minneapolis. Prior to retiring, she was the chief operating officer at College Possible, a national non-profit that supports low-income students through college admission and graduation. Before joining College Possible, she built her corporate career at Northwest Airlines, where she was the senior vice president of the international division.
Laura has been actively involved with the community and currently serves on the board of CommonBond Communities, an affordable housing non-profit. She has served in leadership roles on several non-profit boards, including as the chairperson of Regions Hospital board of directors. She chaired the marketing committee for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and YWCA of Minneapolis, and she served on the board of the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies. Laura also volunteers with Prepare + Prosper as a tax preparer for people with low or moderate incomes.
