Career
Dr. Mark Sannes is currently the Chief Medical Officer of the HealthPartners Care Group, leading the system’s hospitals and clinics across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. He joined the organization in 2006, working in the Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine Clinic at Park Nicollet. Prior to his current role, Dr. Sannes has served as the organization’s clinical lead for the COVID-19 pandemic and the Senior Medical Director for Medical Specialties across HealthPartners and was the Chair of Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine at Park Nicollet.
In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Dr. Sannes maintains an active clinic and hospital practice within Infectious Disease and serves on the board of directors for HealthPartners and Hutchinson Health.
Dr. Sannes is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American College of Physicians. He’s also been recognized as a Top Doctor by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine each year since 2015. He’s a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and has a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
