Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Career

Penny Cermak is executive vice president and chief financial officer at HealthPartners. In this role, Penny is responsible for leading finance, real estate and supply chain functions, as well as supporting growth strategies across the HealthPartners system. She has 25 years of experience in health care finance and five years in non-health care finance accounting, with a record of strengthening profitability and establishing financial flexibility to respond to changing market environments.

Penny joined HealthPartners following eight years at Baylor Scott & White (BSW) Health, most recently serving as executive vice president and CFO. Prior to BSW, Penny held health care finance roles at BroMenn Healthcare System/Advocate BroMenn in Illinois, including 10 years as CFO. Her experience includes serving as co-founder and board member of Immanuel Health Center, member of Healthcare Financial Management Association’s national board of directors and board of examiners, and member of the American Hospital Association’s operations and audit committees and solutions board.
