I’m an emergency medicine doctor at Regions Hospital and a research investigator at HealthPartners Institute. I also work at Hennepin Healthcare (also known as HCMC) as a hyperbaric physician. I serve a diverse population of patients in the emergency department at Regions Hospital, which I find very rewarding. I’m inspired by the culture and colleagues at Regions every day. In addition to emergency medicine and hyperbaric medicine, I’ve been trained as a medical anthropologist, and this has made me very aware of the social determinants of health. As an investigator for the HealthPartners Institute, I work with interdisciplinary teams of researchers and biostatisticians to conduct research that may help my patients in their neighborhoods. I am honored to be able to do this.
On a personal note, I’m married with two children. When I’m not working, I like to gather with friends and family to sail, ski, listen to music and dance.
