I’m an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and cares for both everyday patients and professional athletes at TRIA Orthopedics. In addition, I serve as team physician for Minnesota’s Women’s Professional Hockey League team, the Frost, and for collegiate athletes at the University of Minnesota. As much as I enjoy the opportunity to care for elite athletes, it’s equally important to me to help ordinary people with hip, knee and shoulder issues. This includes procedures to address conditions that include hip impingement, knee injuries, cartilage damage and rotator cuff tears. I work collaboratively with my patients to develop a treatment plan that makes sense for their situation, starting with conservative measures and utilizing surgery when necessary. I am very experienced in arthroscopic surgery – especially in minimally invasive surgery for the hip, knee or shoulder – and I teach orthopedic surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
