I’m a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating hand and wrist problems. I care for many different types of hand and wrist trauma and injury, from common conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome to complex fractures and dislocations. The intricate anatomy of the hand has always interested me. The complex interrelationship of bones, tendons, muscles, nerves and blood vessels is truly remarkable – and requires careful investigation to diagnose and treat when something goes wrong.

I joined HealthPartners in 2009 after completing my residency in orthopedic surgery and a fellowship in hand surgery, both at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. I also serve as an associate professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School. I contribute to academic research and work with other hand-care professionals to continue to find ways to improve how we care for our patients.
