I’m a licensed clinical social worker who served as an advocate on the Lee and Penny Anderson HeroCare Program at Regions Hospital. I’m a veteran myself: I served in the in the Marine Corps for 17 years and in the Army National Guard for 13 years. I retired from the military in 2013 and completed my Master of Social Work at Augsburg College the same year. In 2014, I began working in the HeroCare Program, which was designed to help connect veterans with non-VA health care, mental health services and other resources. The program was designed in collaboration with two important partners, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have seven children and five grandchildren. My favorite place to be is at the lake, where I love to fish and boat with my kids and grandkids.
