Regions Hospital Foundation funding initiatives

To make a transformational impact on important healthcare issues, we have identified several fundraising priorities including two critical areas through the Regions Responds First Emergency and Mental Health campaign.

Additionally, we work closely with our donors to connect them to areas in need of support that match their personal philanthropic interests. Contact us to learn more about our funding areas or to find out how to give to other initiatives.

Regions Responds First

Our Regions Responds First Campaign addresses the growing needs in the community: emergency and trauma care and mental health care.

When the unexpected happens, Regions Hospital is where you want to be.  As the largest provider of emergency care and the only Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center in the East Metro and Western Wisconsin, we provide the highest-quality and safest critical care to patients of all ages. Our Emergency Center treats nearly 90,000 patients a year. And the number keeps growing. We treat 18,500 more patients annually than 10 years ago and steady growth is predicted well into the future.

During a mental health crisis, people turn to Regions because we offer all private rooms and a full team of health providers seven days a week. At a time when the community is losing beds due to local hospital closures and cutbacks, we’re already at 98–100% capacity. When the hospital is full, wait times can be long and more people hesitate in seeking care. Additional resources ease some of that burden so patients can get the appropriate level of care without delay.

Cancer care and research

Your contribution can help us expand our clinical trials program to ensure patients have access to the best new cancer treatments. Contributions from donors provide holistic support and education to patients and families so they can learn about their illness, manage treatment and live well. Your donations also help us expand our care space and research labs to meet the needs of our patients and remove barriers to care for community members who need it most.

Neuroscience

At the new Neuroscience Center, we are leading the field by integrating clinical care, rehabilitation services and research. Contributions from donors like you help educate patients and the community on injury prevention and disease management; support the well-being of patients and families living with dementias like Alzheimer’s; and advance research to develop innovative treatments and cures to many neurological conditions.
