Regions Hospital Foundation funding initiatives

To enhance our mission and maximize our impact on important healthcare issues, we have identified several areas of focus for fundraising in the coming years.

Additionally, we work closely with our donors to connect them to areas in need of support that match their personal philanthropic interests. Contact us to learn more about our funding areas below or to find out how to give to other initiatives.

Regions Hospital Family Birth Center

The new Regions Hospital Family Birth Center, opened in July 2020, combines the latest in medical knowledge with cultural insights derived from extensive community input. The center provides exceptional care and a superior experience for newborns, parents and extended families. It increases Regions’ ability to serve the community both now and well into the future.

With your support, we are creating a crucial investment in the future of our community, helping new families from all economic and cultural backgrounds get off to a healthy start. Contributions designated to the new center through December 31, 2020, will be matched by the Katherine B. Andersen Fund of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations. Give today and double your impact!

At the new Neuroscience Center, we are leading the field by integrating clinical care, rehabilitation services and research. Contributions from donors like you help educate patients and the community on injury prevention and disease management; support the well-being of patients and families living with dementias like Alzheimer’s; and advance research to develop innovative treatments and cures to many neurological conditions.

Pain and opioids

We have set aggressive goals to address the opioid epidemic to ensure our patients and the community can recapture their lives and thrive. Help us educate patients and providers about the dangers of opioids, offer alternatives to treating pain without opioids, and leverage our research capabilities for innovative strategies to end this national crisis.

Cancer care and research

Your contribution can help us expand our clinical trials program to ensure patients have access to the best new cancer treatments. Contributions from donors provide holistic support and education to patients and families so they can learn about their illness, manage treatment and live well. Your donations also help us expand our care space and research labs to meet the needs of our patients and remove barriers to care for community members who need it most.

Mental health

With your help, we're changing the way people look at mental health care. Our mental health programs focus on best health outcomes, improving access and reducing stigma. Your donations contribute to the introduction of new therapies, like sensory integration, that improve health outcomes. Contributions enable us to enhance access to care through Afton Place, an intensive residential mental health treatment center, and it helps fight the stigma of mental illness through the Make It OK campaign.

ER and trauma care

We're leaders in emergency care and the only Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center in the Twin Cities east metro and western Wisconsin. Your contributions support our nationally recognized Burn Center and ER, train the next generation of emergency medicine physicians, and extend care into the community through our geriatric fracture and community paramedic programs.
