Programs that power better health

Some of our funding initiatives focus on exceptional patient care at Westfields Hospital & Clinic. Others focus on improving community resources to make western Wisconsin healthier. But what they all have common is a deep-rooted belief that through philanthropy, local partnerships and service, we can make an important difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors.

The stronger tomorrow that we’re working to create depends on donors like you. No matter what program catches your eye, it’s only made possible thanks to your continued support.

Discover your impact: 2022 Annual Report to the Community

When a community of people comes together to help one another, the outcomes are remarkable. With your partnership in 2022, we made quite an impact!

Our commitment extends beyond hospital walls, ensuring everyone in our community receives the necessary resources for improved health. Donors and supporters like you are essential to achieving this, and we are so pleased to share this report of what we’ve accomplished together.

Our funding priorities at the Westfields Hospital & Clinic Foundation

Your unrestricted gifts go where they’re needed most, so we can respond quickly when unexpected or critical needs arise. These donations help us put community health and well-being first.

Recent initiatives supported through the Greatest Needs Fund – just to name a few – include patient education, healing arts, updated medical equipment, integrative therapies and healthy summer meals for New Richmond students.

Our Patient Care Fund helps Westfields Hospital & Clinic become our community’s patient-centered hospital of choice. Gifts help provide integrative therapies, patient equipment and other healing resources that make a hospital stay easier.

Gifts to our Behavioral Health Fund help neighbors find vital mental health support. Donations not only improve behavioral health resources at Westfields Hospital & Clinic, but also encourage better mental health care in the community through programs like Healthier Together, our Community Health Action Team (CHAT) and Living Well Together.

We also help support high school students struggling with grief and loss by funding the Growing Through Grief program, and we are working to help people in our community heal from addiction.

Thanks to gifts to the Transportation Fund, drivers are able to help patients get to and from their appointments at neighboring clinics in places like Stillwater, Hudson or Amery. By providing this service for patients who don’t have another transportation option, we’re helping make sure all people in our community have access to the health care they need.

The Employee Emergency Fund provides small grants to employees to help with critical expenses during an unforeseen emergency. When Westfields Hospital & Clinic staff have more peace of mind about their personal finances, they can better focus on high quality care for patients and guests.

PowerUp is a community-wide health initiative inspiring kids and families to eat better, move more and feel good. We partner with schools, families, organizations and the entire community to organize classes, events, activities, education and more. We’re focused on empowering kids to reach their full potential.

Employees at Westfields Hospital & Clinic aren’t just health care workers – they care for patients and also support our community in other aspects of their lives. One of those ways is by supporting local nonprofit organizations with their donations. In that spirit, the foundation makes grants to local nonprofit organizations for programs that advance the mission and services of Westfields Hospital & Clinic. The next application deadline is July 1, 2024. Please submit applications no later than 5 p.m.to foundation@westfieldshospital.com or the concierge desk at Westfields Hospital & Clinic.

Congratulations to our 2023 Community Grant Recipients! We are pleased to award a total of $18,000 to support local nonprofit organizations. We had several strong candidates this year, and we are grateful to all that applied.

We grant scholarships to employees and their family members who are pursuing health careers to meet our future need for quality health care professionals in rural communities like ours. Past recipients have used the scholarship to advance their careers and provide care for our community.
