I’m a licensed psychologist and clinical lead of the Binge Eating Disorder treatment program at Melrose Center. The complex connection between mind and body involved in medical and psychological disorders has always been of great professional interest to me, and I use a range of therapeutic approaches to help people with eating disorders heal both psychologically and physically. I have extensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), a type of therapy that is often helpful for people with eating disorders. I’m also trained in an enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy called CBT-E, which was specially designed for use in eating disorder treatment. I work with adolescents and adults, and have found family-based therapy, also called the Maudsley method, to be an effective approach in working with adolescents with anorexia nervosa.
