No matter what your age, regular physical activity is a great way to improve your health. It can help you reduce disability, use health services less often and save on health care costs. If you’re enrolling in a HealthPartners Medicare plan, fitness just got easier. With some HealthPartners Medicare plans you get access to the Silver&Fit® Exercise & Healthy Aging program at no extra cost.
With the Silver&Fit® program, members can join a participating exercise center or use the home fitness program if they’d like. There’s also an online program and special rewards for meeting fitness goals.
Access to fitness clubs and exercise centers
When you join the Silver&Fit® program you get access to a network of fitness clubs and exercise centers. These range from national chains to small community clubs. They offer things like:
- Classes like zumba, tai chi and aqua classes
- Aerobic and strength training equipment
- Some exercise centers also have dance studios, swimming pools, yoga and Pilates studios
- Some facilities have saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools at an extra cost

Kits for working out at home
Some people prefer or need to work out at home. The Silver&Fit® Home Fitness Program lets you choose up to two Home Fitness Kits each year. Most kits include DVDs, guides or other helpful fitness items. These can help keep you active without the commute to the gym.
Fitness trackers and apps
Through Silver&Fit Connected!™, you can track your exercise activity using a fitness device or app. You’ll have options. You can track different activities in different ways.
Online tools and DVDs
You’ll get access to online classes, as well as healthy aging videos that are available on the website or in a DVD, fitness articles and The Silver Slate® newsletter. You can get class info and more in the mail.
You can also get social. Stay motivated with fun online challenges. Invite supporters to cheer for you as you work on your fitness goals.

From October 1 through February 14, we take calls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT, seven days a week. You’ll speak with a representative.
