At TRIA, we understand the unique challenges that performers of all types face. We offer a performing arts medicine program to help circus artists, dancers, gymnasts, cheerleaders and other performers of all ages get back to the activities they love. Not only will we help you heal from an injury, but we’ll also use education and rehabilitation that will reduce your risk of future injuries.
Within the program, you’ll see doctors, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other health care providers who specialize in performing arts medicine. We’ll create a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and helps you achieve your treatment goals.

Our approach to performing arts medicine
We understand that a great performance begins with feeling your best. Our unique TRIA Performing Arts Medicine program was created to address common injuries performers of all types face.
We take a combined approach that helps us determine the best treatment plan for your injury and start your recovery immediately, so you can return to the activities you love. You’ll work with several different specialists who will help get you back to peak performance, including doctors, physical therapists and athletic trainers.
At TRIA, our performing arts medicine program has the kind of specialized equipment that you won’t find anywhere else – including aerial apparatuses, and gymnastics and dance equipment. Rehabilitation on this equipment under the supervision of medical professionals helps you rebuild your strength, mobility and function so you can return to your own training environment as quickly as possible.
TRIA is the official orthopedics and sports medicine partner of Circus Juventas. We provide specialized performing arts physical therapy and sports medicine with a focus on injury prevention and education. We help the athletes at Circus Juventas achieve peak performance while reducing their risks of injury.

No, you don’t need a referral to make an appointment for performing arts medicine care. You can make an appointment with one of our specialists directly.

Our performing arts medicine program is designed for performers and athletes of all ages who specialize in a wide range of activities. We’ve worked with performers in the circus arts, gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, figure skating and many others.
If you’ve sustained an injury that affects your ability to perform at your highest level, our team of specialists can help.
During your first appointment, we’ll talk with you about your condition, symptoms and treatment goals. We recommend that most patients schedule their first appointment with a medical doctor and a physical therapist. You can also schedule an appointment directly with a physical therapist if you’d prefer. Our specialists will evaluate your condition and guide you toward the right treatments so you can get the specialized care you need.
After your consultation is complete, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that’s unique to your needs. This plan will help you get the care you need so you can return to performing quickly, safely and confidently. In some cases, you may be able to start rehabilitation during the first appointment.
