Our leadership team is the backbone of our efforts to support the health and well-being of our patients, their families and the community.

Vice President, Nursing Services and Chief Nursing Officer

Em became the vice president of nursing services and chief nursing officer at Lakeview Hospital in 2022 after rejoining HealthPartners in 2020 as the director of nursing practice for Regions and Methodist hospitals.

Em brings more than 20 years of health care experience, including serving as the vice president and chief nursing officer at Bethesda Hospital. She started her career as a nurse in the U.S. Army.

She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Benedict.

Vice President, Medical Affairs

Tom joined Lakeview Hospital in 2006 to lead the newly formed hospital medicine group and was named the vice president of medical affairs in 2012. Prior to joining Lakeview, Tom worked as a hospitalist at Regions Hospital, where he completed his residency in 1998.

Tom is a board-certified hospital medicine doctor and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Senior Director, Human Resources

Angy joined Lakeview Hospital in 2002 as human resources director and was named senior director in 2005. She came to Lakeview with 18 years of industry experience, including within health care and management.

Angy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies with a focus in Psychology and Human Resources from Metropolitan State University.

Vice President, Ancillary Services

Brenda became the vice president of ancillary services at Lakeview Hospital in 2023 and has operational oversight of several programs and teams, including pharmacy, lab, rehabilitation services, emergency medical services and oncology. She joined HealthPartners in 2016 and has held various roles across the care system, serving most recently as the director of surgical services for Hudson Hospital & Clinic and the St. Croix Valley.

Brenda holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Business Administration from St. Catherine University, and has bachelor’s degrees in nursing and theology from the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University.

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Doug became the chief financial officer of the St. Croix Valley in 2019 and has been with the organization since 2000. He previously served as the chief financial officer of Lakeview Hospital and Lakeview Health. Prior to joining HealthPartners, he spent 10 years with Allina Health.

Doug holds a Master of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

President, Lakeview Health and St. Croix Valley Executive Leader

Brandi joined HealthPartners and Lakeview Health in December 2021, bringing more than 20 years of experience in health care leadership. She served as the chief executive officer at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia, and was previously the vice president of operations at Mercy Hospital, part of Allina Health.

Brandi holds a Master of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton College.

Vice President, St. Croix Valley Clinics

Matt became the vice president of St. Croix Valley Clinics in 2019 and has been with the organization since 2009, previously serving as administrator for Stillwater Medical Group and Lakeview Hospital. In addition, Matt has more than 20 years of experience in health care administration, most recently with Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital.

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. John’s University.

Executive Director, Lakeview Health Foundation

Michelle joined us to lead the Lakeview Health Foundation in 2023. She has extensive background in leading philanthropy and fundraising efforts within higher education and health care.

Most recently, Michelle was the Vice President of University Advancement, and General Counsel at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and was previously the Senior Development Officer of Medicine and Health for the University of Minnesota Foundation.

Michelle holds a Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota.
