With a network of over 90% of actively practicing dental providers across Minnesota plus 130,000 providers nationwide, it’s easy to take advantage of in-network savings.

Like our regular Open Access plans, Open Access Advantage members can see any licensed dentist at any time. The “Advantage” comes through greater coverage when members see an in-network provider. With Preventive plans, you can offer 100% in-network coverage for essential dental benefits like checkup exams, cleanings, sealants and regular X-rays. Both plans cover care through our nationwide Dental Open Access network.

Distinctions plans are designed with a two-tiered network, where coverage varies by tier. With a tiered system, employees can enjoy greater choice in how they manage their care. The first tier features more than 300 highly respected dental providers, including the HealthPartners Dental Group. The second tier includes a wider network of 2,600 dentists throughout Minnesota and surrounding areas, in addition to nationwide access to more than 130,000 providers.

Dental Options plans give both you and your employees the flexibility to select the right coverage for everyone’s needs. It begins with your choice of a plan that has either a $1,000 or $2,000 annual maximum. From there, your employees choose one of three network options that best fits their needs:

  • Dental Select – Our Select network, including HealthPartners Dental Group and Park Dental, offers the lowest premiums along with consistent, high-quality care.
  • Dental Open Access– Through the Open Access network, members can access our network of over 90% of actively practicing dental providers throughout Minnesota plus more than 130,000 providers nationwide.
  • Any dentist – Members are covered for care from any licensed dentist, even if the provider isn’t in our network.
