2023 Medicare Advantage plans in Minnesota

A 5-star Medicare Advantage plan made for you

Our Minnesota Medicare Advantage plans are a great way to get more from Medicare. HealthPartners® Journey (PPO)  plans bring medical and prescription drug coverage together, making it easier to use your benefits. You’ll also get extra perks and coverage that go beyond what’s offered through Original Medicare alone.

Even better, all of our Journey plans received overall Medicare Star Ratings of 5 out of 5 for 2023 – the highest score possible. It all comes back to our commitment to great customer service and helping members reach their best health.

Your Medicare plan should help you live healthier, and that’s why with our plans, your needs always come first:

Our Medicare network includes access to major care systems across the Twin Cities metro, central Minnesota and greater Minnesota. So you can see the doctors you know and trust – and start making new connections, too.

You’ll never pay an in-network primary care copay, and you can also choose a plan where monthly premiums are $0. Plus, no matter which plan you pick, an out-of-pocket maximum ensures your spending never goes over a certain amount each year.

All plans feature an annual maximum dental benefit amount (enhanced for 2023) for common preventive dental care, like checkups and cleaning. You can add on comprehensive dental coverage if you need more coverage – or even pick a plan where it’s already included.

For prescription drug coverage (Part D), copays are as low as $0 for formulary medicines in Tier 1. You’ll also get coverage for insulin and most Part D vaccines: You won’t pay a deductible or more than $35 for a one-month supply of each insulin product, and there’s also no copay or deductible for most vaccines (such as Shingrix, Tdap and MMR).

You’ll have coverage for routine hearing exams, more options for hearing aids through TruHearing® (enhanced for 2023), an allowance to use toward non-Medicare covered prescription eyewear, and a gym membership and home fitness kit through our partnership with SilverSneakers®. On most plans, you’ll also get a quarterly allowance to spend on select over-the-counter products and supplies.

Select plans also feature the HealthPartners Choice Card (new for 2023), a prepaid card that can be used to pay for chiropractic services, non-Medicare covered prescription eyewear and hearing aids from TruHearing®.

Enjoying the snowbird or RV life? All plans include in-network coverage for up to nine months of annual domestic travel. You’ll also have access to pre-travel consultations and worldwide emergency and urgent care coverage, with additional assistance through Assist America®.*

We know it’s important to talk to a medical expert whenever you need one, which is exactly why members have access to unlimited, no-cost visits to Virtuwell. At Virtuwell, you can get a diagnosis, treatment plan and prescription for more than 60 common conditions – all online with no appointments, waiting rooms or video calls.
