Visiting a patient

At Hudson Hospital & Clinic, we believe that support from family and friends is critical for healing. That’s why we invite family to visit anytime. Family members aren’t limited to blood relatives, and we’ll determine the number of people welcomed at any one time by working together with you and your family.

If you are coming to visit a patient, the Main Entrance door are open from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You may enter through the Emergency Center entrance 24/7.

When a loved one is sick or injured, waiting for them to come out of an appointment or procedure can be stressful. We have created a comfortable, healing environment to make waiting easier. Throughout the property, you'll find nurturing gardens, calm places of respite and artistic details to make you feel at home. These include the cozy living room of the Winter Garden, as well as our carefully tended gardens and labyrinth.

At the Hudson Hospital Gift Shop, you’ll find jewelry and accessories, clothing, greeting cards, toys, games and items for the home. Several of the items in our Gift Shop are locally made and sustainable. All of the proceeds – 100% – go to support charity care at Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Charity care helps lighten the burden of the cost of care for our patients.

In a continuing effort to practice sustainable nutrition and provide healthy meals and snacks, we strive to use locally grown food whenever possible. We offer foods that follow the US Dietary Guidelines, and you’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and hormone-free dairy products.

We want patients and guests to have easy access to these delicious and healthy foods, so we offer a range of dining options.

Patient dining services

Guests may use Patient Dining Services to dine in-room with a patient. Patients can call 16465 to speak with a Patient Dining Assistant and request a meal anytime from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. We’ll serve the meal within 45 minutes of the call or at the time you request, whichever is later.


Find our colorful café centrally located at the heart of the hospital. Weather permitting, guests are welcome to dine on the patio and enjoy the beautiful garden setting under the shade of large umbrellas. Dial 65999 from any hospital phone to hear a listing of daily menu specials.

Snack service

Snacks, beverages, and grab & dash (freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and yogurt parfaits) are available in the café.


Our vending services include “Better for You” snacks, light meals and beverages. Vending is located in the café. You’ll also find vending machines near the Emergency Center.

Spiritual care

Patients and their families often find comfort in the guidance of a trained spiritual supporter. At Hudson Hospital & Clinic, we’re not affiliated with any one faith. Instead, we try to meet the spiritual and religious preferences of all our patients.

Our Meditation Room is available 24/7 for patients, families, and staff to find solace in a quiet, peaceful space. This room provides resources for spiritual care, and holds various inspirational books, including the Bible and non-denominational meditation literature.
