Improving health and well-being in Hutchinson and beyond

At Hutchinson Health, our mission is to improve health and well-being in partnership with our members, patients and community. We serve our community with emergency, birthcare, mental health and rehabilitation services, as well as primary care, urgent care and specialty clinics.

One way we carry out our mission is by working with community partners to understand what contributes to improving health and well-being. Every three years, Hutchinson Health completes a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

In 2019, our comprehensive CHNA included all hospitals in the HealthPartners system. In consultation with The Improve Group, the assessment analyzed health data and input from community members to identify the biggest needs.

The top needs identified were:

  • Access to care
  • Access to health
  • Mental health and well-being
  • Substance abuse
  • Nutrition and physical activity
