Neonatal Virtual Care Services
Your newborn is never far away from highly specialized care. We offer state-of-the-art neonatal virtual care at Hutchinson Health BirthCare Center through a partnership with newborn care specialists at Children’s Minnesota Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Neonatal virtual care brings specialty care to our patients when and where it is needed most. If your baby is born early or experiences unexpected medical complications after delivery, your baby’s care team may choose to consult with Children’s newborn care specialists. Using a specialized telemedicine cart with secure audio/visual technology, a Children’s newborn specialist will be virtually present at your baby’s bedside. Clinicians from Hutchinson Health and Children’s Minnesota will work together to quickly treat your baby. All final care decisions will be made by your baby’s physician.
Seamless chart system
Rest assured that your care team will always have your most up-to-date information through our seamless chart system. Your chart follows you through each phase of your pregnancy – from that first preconception meeting with your doctor to prenatal care, labor and delivery, and after-care. Your medical information goes with you, keeping your doctors in the loop and heightening your level of personalized care.

During your pregnancy, we offer
We also offer lactation consultation services to mothers who have returned home with their newborns. While the breastfeeding journey isn’t always easy, you’ll have our continued support by phone or appointment.
