We know that health care costs can add up quickly. We offer financial assistance to help you afford the medical care you need.
Financial assistance opportunities are available for patients who are unable to pay for their health care services, in full, within the required 30 days of billing. Payment plans with no interest are available to all patients with an outstanding account balance.
To apply for financial assistance, you may either apply online with your HealthPartners online account or fill out an application form.
Application forms can be returned in several ways:
Patients will need to provide documentation verifying their income (such as latest federal income tax return and recent pay stubs) and information about their health insurance coverage (such as Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance).
If you’d like more information or have questions about a no-interest payment plan or the financial assistance application process, please call our patient financial services office at
Information on eligibility, how to apply and how we calculate financial assistance is described in our financial assistance policy.
Knowing how much your medical care will cost before you visit a doctor can help you plan for upcoming health care needs. There are several different ways to estimate the cost of care. Here are some helpful resources.
Our patient account representatives are here to help you understand the costs of different procedures. You’ll talk with a real person and get a detailed estimate. All you have to do is answer questions about the services you need, then we’ll walk you through information about lab work, imaging tests, surgeries, and other treatment options. Remember, this is just a cost estimate. Actual charges may be different based on the services you need.
You can use our online patient estimate tool to get a cost estimate and learn about how much you’ll likely pay out-of-pocket.
The federal government requires hospitals to post their standard charges reflecting each inpatient and outpatient service and item provided by the hospital. Our lists are available here:
Our standard charges may be far different than the amounts you are expected to pay. Westfields Hospital & Clinic has negotiated varying discounts with Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans. We can help you figure out how much you’ll have to pay if you call one of our financial counselors at
Price Point is a website that allows you to access service cost information for the top 75 Inpatient and Outpatient procedures performed at Wisconsin Health Care Facilities, including Westfields Hospital & Clinic. Medical facilities report data to the WHA (Wisconsin Hospital Association) Information Center on a quarterly basis, making recent charge and pricing information available to consumers.
We aren’t able to tell you which services your insurance covers. If you aren’t sure about your insurance coverage, the best thing to do is call the number on the back of your insurance card.
