Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Dietary Cook to serve our Dietary department! This position will work approximately 48 hours per pay with every other weekend rotation. The Dietary Cook prepares and cooks meals for hospital employees and patients in accordance with Physician diet orders. This position also assists with dishwashing and departmental cleaning.
Responsibilities:
- Determines types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus.
- Serves the correct portion sizes for all food items.
- Ensure meals are prepared and ready by anticipated times.
- Bakes, prepares, or assigns the preparation of congregate snacks.
- Measures and mixes ingredients according to approved recipes.
- Improves flavor and texture of food by adding ingredients or reasonings.
- Makes soups, sauces, stews, casseroles, and desserts meeting established dietary guidelines.

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a casual Health Unit Coordinator! This position is responsible for the overall management and daily operation of the support functions for the patient care unit. This includes assisting with the admission, transfer, and discharge of inpatients, emergency room patients, and outpatients. This position will also provide support to Patient Access Representatives and Outreach Surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of inpatients, emergency room patients, and outpatients.
- Operates switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Participates in the patient admission process and appropriate chart completion.
- Obtains necessary signatures on admission forms, Medicare forms, etc.
- Verifies insurance and manages pre authorizations as appropriate.
- Completes census sheets and communicates with Revenue Cycle regarding patient admissions.
- Responsible for assembling and disassembling of charts per facility standard.
- Accurately verifies all demographic and benefit information through previous registration, direct contact and/or language translation line.
- Assists with transfer paperwork as requested.
- Prints patient Medication Administration Records after approved by licensed staff.
- Functions as the after-hours receptionist/switchboard operator receiving, transferring, and taking messages.
- Monitors and analyzes/audits patient charts for deficient information such as medical record number, Medicare letters, and physician’ or nurse’s signatures.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality regarding patients, staff, and all pertinent information (HIPAA).

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Housekeeper to work in our Environmental Services Department! This position will work approximately 48 - 64 hours per pay period with the ability to pick up additional shifts if desired. This position will work roughly 1-2 weekends per month.
Responsibilities:
- Provides clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly surroundings for patients, employees and the public.
- Works in both hospital and clinic settings.
- Promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors.

This position is responsible for accurately collecting specimens for medical provider ordered lab tests. The position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients and coworkers. This position does not require weekends!
Responsibilities:
- Interpret, verify, and carry out medical provider ordered lab tests.
- Reference, interpret, and apply laboratory specimen requirements.
- Obtain or collect body fluids, tissue and other substances to aid the laboratory in determining normal and abnormal findings.
- Foster an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients while explaining and performing procedures.
- Provide instructions clearly and accurately for patient collected specimens.

The role requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients and coworkers. This position is eligible for a $6,000 sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities:
- Perform activities related to hematology, urinalysis, routine and special chemistry, bacteriology, blood banking, coagulation, venipunctures, fingersticks, and arterial draws.
- Responsible for the accuracy of examinations and analysis to assist physicians to make correct diagnosis of patient’s disease and for careful handling of infectious material to protect all laboratory personnel.
- Collect blood and specimens under asceptic conditions.
- Record accurate test results and responsible for the care of all laboratory equipment.
- Perform various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Receives or obtains specimens for Laboratory analysis.

The Radiologic Technologist operates specialized radiographic equipment (General X-Ray, CT, and Fluoroscopy) to provide high quality diagnostic images as directed by the providers and radiologist while following the ALARA principle and providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that images meet quality standards by performing daily, weekly and monthly quality assurance on radiologic equipment and record all data.
- Must have the ability to perform or assist with additional specialized radiographic procedures such as Mammography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Ability to effectively communicate and work efficiently with direct supervisor, administration, physicians, patients, and staff.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Seek assistance when appropriate and necessary to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to work independently and also as a team utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Efficient using the EMR and PACS system, creates CDs of images as needed for records requests.

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a RN Care Team Lead! This is a full-time position working 72 hours per pay period. This position assists with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours and serves as a first line resource for clinic nursing staff questions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with care team members to ensure patient messages and result notes have been addressed and communicated appropriately in a timely manner.
- Accurately triages patients to Walk-In Clinic or ER as appropriate.
- Works with care team members to complete faxes, referrals, appeals, and authorizations.

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Staff Accountant to support OHC with financial records, accounts payable, and general ledger functions! This position will also be responsible for providing financial information to management through research, accounting data analysis, and report preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare asset and liability entries while accurately documenting business transactions.
- Prepares necessary financial reports as required by the President, Chief Financial Officer, Medicare and State Health Departments, Hospital Board, State Department of Revenue, and others upon request.
- Prepares detailed monthly financial statements for equipment, invoices, receipts, warrants, trial balance, hospital departments, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected hospital financial position. Explains any and all material variances from budget and prior month activity.
- Compiles, prepares, documents and files monthly reports for the following areas as requested: receivables, payables, general ledger, fixed asset reports, bonds, loans, financial statements, payroll, sales and use tax reports, departmental / hospital income, and expense reports.
- Reconciles all general ledger accounts monthly. Identifies and resolves accounting discrepancies.
- Provides monthly fund and cash balances to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly departmental budget reports (revenue and expense variance trends). Communicates material variances to Chief Financial Officer and Department Managers.
- Audits invoices, orders, and vouchers prior to submitting to Park Nicollet Accounts Payable.
- Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems, accounting control policies and procedures, and manual / electronic filing systems.
- Compiles asset and liability information, fund balance accounts, and all other supporting information in preparation for all audits.
- Record and reconcile daily cash sheets.
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent years of experience (required)
- 3+ years of accounting experience (preferred)
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office and accounting software

Preceptorship opportunities for new team members
During a preceptorship, an experienced health care practitioner provides you with supervision and support for a rotation (or a certain period of time). This is a valuable opportunity to learn the ropes from a more senior team member.
