Current openings

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Human Resource Generalist! This individual will be responsible for a variety of benefit, leave administration, payroll and offboarding functions.  The position will work closely with colleagues and organization leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with HealthPartners payroll contact to ensure all regular, special, and manual payroll checks are processed accurately and timely as well as properly distributed.
  • Regularly performs internal payroll audits to ensure systems are appropriately communicating.
  • Enters all employee changes into the HRIS system on a timely basis to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Verifies all entries and changes are processed correctly for payroll, remits timecard data and deductions for payroll, and performs bi-weekly payroll edits for reasonableness and accuracy.
  • Runs reports, assigns roles, sets up schedules and allocations, and completes retro adjustments for bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Maintains records and documents necessary for implementing and updating coverage, including annual and new employee enrollments.
  • Interacts externally with brokers, vendors, and carriers, and internally to resolve benefit-related issues.
  • Responsible for daily administration of benefit programs including self and fully insured programs, executive, COBRA, health savings accounts, and flexible spending accounts.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests.
  • Owns the employee offboarding cycle to include scheduling and conducting employee exit interviews in addition to calculating and communicating final pay and benefits.
  • Create and maintain statistical data for employment turnover and assist in best practice process improvements and implementations.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • At least two years of related experience in human resources, benefits and/or payroll.
  • Experience in healthcare industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively process detailed work with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Patient Account Coordinator, who will be responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to evaluation, processing, and handling of insurance claims for the organization. This position acts as a liaison between the organization, insurance providers and agents, claimants, and policy holders regarding the status and eligibility for coverage for all relevant claims. This includes the coordination of electronic claims submission between the organization and clearing house vendors. This position coordinates insurance and collection activities within the staff of the Insurance Department. This position also works with Health Information Management Staff and Hospice Staff to ensure appropriate billing and coding of insurance claims.

In addition, this position coordinates Accounts Receivable functions relating to electronic posting of payments and adjustment transactions between the organization and clearing house vendors.

REPORTS TO: LAB SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: LABORATORY

Olivia Hospital & Clinic has an opening for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS). This position performs chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Field techniques of bacteriology, hematology, serology, coagulation, blood banking and chemical and morphological examinations will be used to complete everyday operations.

This position will also be responsible for recording laboratory test results, define problems, collect data, and establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

This position will work primarily days and every 4th weekend. This position will also work afternoons every 4 weeks.

Education, Training or Degree Required:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent form a two-year college or technical school (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (preferred)
  • Certification as a MLT or MLS from SCP or NCA (required)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to operate all equipment in the laboratory.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of examinations and analysis to assist physicians to make correct diagnosis of patient’s disease and for careful handling of infectious material to protect all laboratory personnel.
  • Collect blood and specimens under aseptic conditions.
  • Records accurate test results.
  • Responsible for the care of all laboratory equipment.
  • Perform hematology, urinalysis, routine and special chemistry, bacteriology, blood banking, coagulation, venipunctures, finger sticks and arterial draws.
  • Perform quality control on all instruments as well as perform monthly, weekly and daily maintenance.
  • Assist with writing and updating procedures for all laboratory equipment, supplies, and standards of practice.

During a preceptorship, an experienced health care practitioner provides you with supervision and support for a rotation (or a certain period of time). This is a valuable opportunity to learn the ropes from a more senior team member.
