Get ready to enroll in MSHO
Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO) plans combine Medical Assistance and Medicare into one.
To enroll in a
- Be a United States citizen or lawfully present in the United States
- Get Medical Assistance without a medical spenddown – If you don’t have Medical Assistance yet, visit the
Minnesota Department of Human Services . - Have Medicare Parts A and B – If you were getting Social Security benefits when you turned 65, you were automatically enrolled in Medicare. If you don’t have Medicare yet,
you can enroll online . - Live in our MSHO service area – Plans are available in these Minnesota counties: Anoka, Benton, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Stearns, Washington and Wright.

From Oct. 1 through March 31, we take calls 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT, seven days a week. From April 1 through Sept. 30, we take calls 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT, Monday – Friday.
