Extras and perks with HealthPartners Medicare plans

Saving money is important, and Medicare Part B premium givebacks can help. When you enroll in a plan with this feature, we’ll reimburse part of your Part B monthly premium, reducing your payment obligation and giving your budget a little more cushion.

Medicare Part B premium givebacks are available with the HealthPartners® Journey Smart (PPO) plan in Minnesota and the HealthPartners® Cedar (PPO) plan in northeast Wisconsin.

Many of our Medicare Advantage plans include a prepaid Choice Card loaded with money you can use for things that Medicare doesn’t cover, like certain prescription eyewear and chiropractic services, copays for hearing aids from TruHearing^®, and home delivered meals from Mom’s Meals^®. It’s our version of a Medicare flex card, tailored to what you need.

We know healthy teeth and gums are important, so many plans feature coverage for common preventive dental care and certain comprehensive care. Some plans also offer options to add extra dental coverage if you need more benefits.

Staying active is important at any age. That’s why most of our Medicare plans include SilverSneakers, a fitness program that offers access to thousands of gyms and fitness centers nationwide, plus home fitness kits, on-demand workout videos and much more.

When you travel, it’s better if your coverage can travel with you. All our plans offer up to nine months of in-network coverage in the U.S., and you’ll also get additional travel assistance through Assist America^®.* Plus, with most plans, coverage for pre-travel health consultations, worldwide urgent care and worldwide emergency care are also included.

Some of our Minnesota Medicare Advantage plans offer a quarterly benefit through NationsBenefits^® to spend on select over-the-counter products, like pain relievers, cough medicines, first-aid supplies and more. That way you can still get the everyday essentials you need (and save a few bucks, too).

We offer Medicare plans you can really see yourself using. Most plans include coverage for routine eye exams. Some plans may also include a benefit allowance or the HealthPartners Choice Card to use for non-Medicare-covered prescription eyewear.

Original Medicare doesn’t cover your ears, but we do. Most plans include $0 copays for routine hearing exams, plus copay options for hearing aids through TruHearing^®, so you can stay sharp and ready for what’s next.

Our Medicare Advantage plans include medication therapy management (MTM) at no extra cost. Through MTM, you can meet one on one with a pharmacist to better understand your prescriptions, review how well your medicines are working and more.

All our Medicare plans come with a wide range of member resources, like our Midwest-based Member Services team. They’ll help you understand and get the most out of your plan. Plus, you’ll have 24/7 access to professional nurses through CareLine^℠ if you ever need health advice after hours. More perks and programs are also available, including support for health conditions.
