Hudson Hospital & Clinic financial assistance

To apply for financial assistance, you must either apply online with your HealthPartners online account or fill out an application form. If you fill out an application form, it must be returned to Hudson Hospital & Clinic in person, by mail or by fax. Patients will need to provide documentation verifying income (such as a federal income tax return) and information about health insurance coverage (such as Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance).

Apply for financial assistance online with your HealthPartners account, or download the financial assistance application in English (PDF), Spanish (PDF), Somali (PDF), Vietnamese (PDF), Hmong (PDF), Russian (PDF), or Karen (PDF).

Information on eligibility, how to apply and how we calculate financial assistance is described in our financial assistance policy.

Knowing how much your medical care will cost before you visit a doctor can help you plan for upcoming health care needs. Here are some helpful resources to help you estimate the cost of care at Hudson Hospital & Clinic.

Call us for a cost estimate

Our patient account representatives are here to help you understand the costs of different procedures. You’ll talk to a real person and get a detailed estimate. All you have to do is answer questions about the services you need, then we’ll walk you through information about surgeries, imaging tests, lab work and other treatment options. Remember, this is just a cost estimate. Actual charges may be different based on the services you need.

Use our online patient estimate tool for hospital cost information

You can also use our online patient estimate tool to get a cost estimate. This tool lets patients know what their out-of-pocket costs are for over 300 common services. It’s being offered to meet the January 1st, 2021, CMS Price Transparency requirements and to help you better understand what your cost of care will be.

Price estimates are based on historical data of similar procedures and current insurance coverage. While we make every effort to provide accurate estimates, remember that these are only estimates. Your actual charges may vary.

Estimates are calculated assuming HealthPartners is in-network with your insurance plan. Non-covered services or services that need prior authorization aren’t considered in our estimates. Our online price estimates reflect prices from HealthPartners hospital-based locations only – not our clinics. They also assume that you live in the United States. Please contact your insurance plan if you have questions about your coverage.

See a list of standard hospital charges

The federal government requires hospitals to post their standard charges reflecting each inpatient and outpatient service and item provided by the hospital.

Our standard charges may be far different from the amounts you are expected to pay. We have negotiated varying discounts with Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans.

See cost information on Wisconsin Price Point

The Wisconsin Hospital Association provides additional information about our charges, as well as charges at other hospitals through a website called Price Point. The website allows you to access service cost information for the top 75 inpatient and outpatient procedures performed at Wisconsin Health Care Facilities, including Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Medical facilities report data to the Wisconsin Hospital Association Information Center on a quarterly basis, making recent charge and pricing information available to consumers.

Check your insurance coverage

We aren’t able to tell you which services your insurance covers. If you aren’t sure, the best thing to do is call the number on the back of your insurance card.

Don’t have your card in front of you? Here are the member services numbers to common insurance providers:

We’re required to keep an updated list of providers that offer emergency or other medically necessary care for Hudson Hospital. This lists which providers are covered by our financial assistance policy and which are not.
