What you need to know about Methodist birth center tours

Who is welcome: The Family Birth Center Tour is for women preparing for childbirth and their significant other or support person. Currently, we have a strict adherence to two people per tour registration. Families needing an interpreter may be an exception.

Tour leaders: A family birth center volunteer will lead your tour, however nursing staff will be available to answer questions.

Cost: There’s no cost for a tour.

Location: Tours start in the Hychiya Conference Room. It’s in the Family Birth Center, on the third floor of Methodist Hospital. The address is 6500 Excelsior Blvd., St. Louis Park, MN 55426.

Parking: Park in the Orange ramp, off Louisiana Avenue. We’ll provide parking vouchers.

Special instructions: If you arrive late, please check in at the welcome desk, outside of the Family Birth Center. During cold and flu season, we follow strict visitor guidelines. For the health of the moms and babies, we ask that you stay home if you’re sick on the day of your scheduled tour.

Please note that we may not always have a labor or postpartum room available to view as they could be occupied by patients. In this circumstance, we encourage you to take our virtual tour to explore more.
