Find care in my plan network
Choose the doctor, dentist or specialist who’s right for you.
Log in to see covered doctors and services
When you log on to your myHealthPartners account, you’ll get important information about your health plan. You can see which doctors and services your plan covers. You can also find info about benefits, claims and much more.
HealthPartners insurance plans cover more than 950,000 doctors. But, not every doctor is covered in every network. You’ll want to log into your account, see your plan documents or call Member Services to get the most accurate info about your network and coverage.
Which option describes you?
In-network and out-of-network coverage
Most HealthPartners plans offer both in-network and out-of-network coverage. This means you can go to any of the doctors, clinics or hospital – whether they’re “in network” or “out of network.” You’ll pay a larger share of the cost when you choose care that is out of network. And not all plans cover out-of-network care. Check your benefits to see what’s covered for you.
Getting specialty care in network
Most members don’t need a referral from their doctors. You may see any specialist in the network—from OB-GYNs to podiatrists, chiropractors and others. Check your plan documents to see how your plan works. If your plan doesn’t require a referral, just call the specialist to make an appointment.
While you don’t need to, it’s a good idea to talk with your doctor about seeing a specialist. Your doctor might be able to help you choose the right specialist. They may also be better able to coordinate your care.
Getting urgent care in network
If you or a family member needs urgent care during clinic hours, call your regular clinic. If your clinic is closed, you can call the 24/7 HealthPartners CareLineSM service at 612-339-3663 or 800-551-0859. A CareLineSM nurse can help you find the best care, including urgent care clinics and retail clinics, which are open evenings and weekends.
Getting behavioral health (mental and chemical) care in-network
You can see a therapist, get a chemical dependency evaluation or other outpatient care from any clinics in your network.
Getting care in an emergency
If you or a family member has a medical emergency, getting help right away is the most important thing. Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
If you’re admitted to a hospital that’s not part of your plan’s network, call the CareCheck® program at 952-883-5800 or 1-800-942-4872. The program can make sure you get maximum out-of-network benefits.
