New Hire Appointment: Your offer letter included the date and time for your New Hire Appointment. This is a required appointment so if you have scheduling conflicts and cannot make it to your scheduled time, contact your recruiter right away to reschedule. Missed appointments can result in a delay in employment. Please plan approximately 2 hours for this appointment.
Park in the West Patient/Visitor parking ramp and begin your appointment in the HR Service Center (N2060) where you’ll receive instructions for the following elements of your visit (please review each link so you are prepared for your visit):
Your first day will be in hospital Welcome Day. Welcome Day begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning and ends at 4:30 p.m. If your position is not benefit eligible (FTE is less than .5), you are not required to stay for the benefits presentation and may be excused at about 2:45 p.m.
Lunch: The break for lunch with be 45 minutes. You will be on your own for lunch. Lunch is available at the Regions Hospital Cafeteria or in our Overlook Deli and Café. You may also choose to bring your own lunch.
What to wear: Dress code for Welcome Day is business casual (jeans are not acceptable.) As temperatures vary in a larger room, you may want to bring a light sweater or jacket to ensure your comfort. You should also wear your ID badge up next to your collar. (Tip: you will need your ID badge in order to badge in and ensure you are paid for your orientation time.)
Policies to review prior to Welcome Day: Regions Hospital upholds important policies in order to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, and to ensure confidentiality for our patients. As a new employee, you are asked to become familiar with these policies and be willing to abide by them. We consider this cooperation one of the elements of being an employee who takes ownership within the workplace.
While at Welcome Day, you will be asked to sign a form declaring you have received and understand these Regions Hospital policies.
Although you will have an opportunity to look at these policies at Welcome Day and ask questions about them, we strongly encourage you to review them prior to attending.

RHSC, Inc. offers a flexible benefit program, which allows you the greatest amount of flexibility in designing a package that’s just right for you! Each employee is allocated “Benefit dollars” which act as “credits” to help you pay for benefits you choose. Employees are eligible for these benefits on your hire date if hired as a .5 FTE or higher (except where noted).
Below is the information you need to consider for enrollment in your RHSC benefits. You are required to return your enrollment forms to the HR Service Center within 31 days of your hire date. Your medical and dental benefits are effective the first day of employment.
You will receive your benefits enrollment packet on Welcome Day. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a 1 on 1 benefits orientation after your hire date, contact the HR Service Center at 651-254-4700 to schedule.
