Your choices aren’t limited to an unmedicated birth or an epidural. When it comes to pain management, we offer a range of options – from natural methods like aromatherapy to medications like nitrous oxide and more. In addition to vaginal births, we’re able to perform gentle cesarean deliveries, if necessary. And we also have a high rate of successful vaginal births after cesarean (VBACs).
Once baby arrives, get the care, support and guidance you need to take care of yourself and your baby. As a Baby-Friendly USA Hospital, you can expect time for skin-to-skin contact and bonding – a practice that our birth center was among the first to make a standard practice.
You’ll also get breastfeeding support right away with help from certified lactation consultations, and your baby will get care from HealthPartners pediatricians. If your baby needs extra care, we’re ready too. Neonatologists from Children’s Hospital staff our Level 2 NICU.
If you have questions before you leave the hospital or after you get home, we’re here for you then, too. All you need to do is pick up your phone and call the BabyLine℠ at 612-333-2229. A specially trained OB-GYN nurse is on call 24/7. It’s free, and you don’t need to be a patient or have HealthPartners insurance.
From luxurious private suites and sunlit views of St. Paul, to spaces equipped to handle the kind of birth you want and the ranging levels of care you and your baby may need, our birth center was designed with you in mind.
No matter your birth plan, your care team is created to help give you the experience you want, and the care you and baby need. You’ll have access to board-certified OB-GYNs, certified nurse-midwives, experienced nurses, translators and so many others.
Your choices are important to us. That’s why we offer many different pain management options, C-section deliveries that put moms and babies first, lactation support services, our Level 2 NICU and more.
