What you need to know about birth center tours

Who is welcome on birth center tours: The Regions Family Birth Center tour is for expecting parents preparing for childbirth. Right now, we only allow two people per tour registration. Families that need an interpreter may be an exception.

Tour leaders: Birth center tours are led by volunteers. They’re able to show you around the center but can’t provide medical advice or answer questions related to medical procedures. We encourage you to bring a notebook along so you can write down any questions you might want to ask at your next appointment.

Cost: There is no cost for a tour.

Location: Tours start on the first floor of Regions Family Birth Center. Regions Hospital is located at 640 Jackson Street, St. Paul, MN 55101 . It is located on the southeast corner of the hospital campus on East 12th Street.

Where to park: Tour guests can park for free. We recommend parking in the Regions Birth Center Parking Garage off East 12th Street. If the parking garage is full, additional parking is available in the South and West ramps. Your guide will provide parking vouchers during your tour.

When to arrive for the birth center tour: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for the tour to allow time for parking. If you arrive late, please check in at the welcome desk on the first floor of the Regions Family Birth Center. We’ll try our best to connect you with the tour already in progress, but you may need to reschedule.

Additional information: Because our labor and postpartum rooms are often occupied by other expecting parents, we may not always have one available to view on the tour. In this circumstance, we encourage you to take our virtual birth center tour to explore more.
