What you can expect

Your care plan usually starts with a visit to a primary care doctor or sleep specialist. Often, a sleep study is recommended after your initial visit. This helps us best understand your sleep problem. About half of the time, you can do your sleep study at home. Otherwise, you’ll need to stay overnight at the Sleep Health Center.

You’ll sleep in a private, comfortable room. The room has a TV, private bathroom, Internet and room-darkening window shades. We’ll monitor your sleep from another room.

Your care team will use the results of your study to develop a personalized care plan. This might include sleep aid equipment, lifestyle and behavioral therapy, counseling, surgery or a combination of treatments.

Treatment for chronic insomnia

Our Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) program is often one of the most effective ways to treat chronic insomnia. We’ll create a care plan personalized for you and your sleep patterns. You won’t need to do an overnight sleep study. The program lasts two to three months and is the only one of its kind in the east metro.
