Stroke INSPIRE support group and programming at Regions Hospital

We offer free support groups for stroke survivors and their caregivers through the Stroke INSPIRE program . These stroke support groups help participants address many topics related to strokes, including issues of social isolation and barriers to community reentry. You can choose from virtual or in-person stroke support groups, empowering you to participate wherever feels best for you.

Stroke support group meetings are facilitated by other stroke survivors, caregivers and stroke experts. Once a month, experts from medical, rehabilitation and community support fields are invited to give presentations on topics of interest during our virtual education group.

Who should attend our Stroke INSPIRE support groups and programming

We welcome stroke survivors, their families and caregivers at our Stroke INSPIRE support groups . You’ll have an opportunity to meet and share stories with others in a similar situation.

Stroke survivor support groups

INSPIRE stroke survivor support groups offer those affected by stroke the opportunity to collaborate, encourage, and solve problems together while navigating the challenges of recovery, interpersonal relationships, social isolation and community re-integration. Stroke survivor support groups are held both in person and virtually.

Caregiver support groups

In addition to support groups for stroke survivors, we offer a virtual support group specifically for caregivers. At Stroke INSPIRE caregiver support groups, you’ll hear other caregivers share experiences as you navigate this journey together. In addition to discussion and encouragement, we offer occasional guest speakers who are invited to offer caregivers and stroke survivors information on topics of interest.
