Taking a prenatal class is one of the best ways you can prepare for birth and caring for your new baby. We offer many different classes so you can choose one that’s right for you and your family.
Regions Hospital Family Birth Center has partnered with Everyday Miracles to provide a diverse range of affordable childbirth and parenting classes for our patients. Classes are taught at Regions Hospital or at Everyday Miracles’ Northeast Minneapolis location, and they’re open to all families regardless of where they are giving birth. Classes are available in English, Spanish and Somali.

Group prenatal care combines routine prenatal care with interactive learning opportunities for expecting parents. If you choose group prenatal care, you’ll be with 8-10 other moms-to-be with similar due dates. A midwife or nurse practitioner and a clinic nurse lead the group. And the group setting helps you connect, learn together and build a supportive community.
Studies have shown that parents who participate in group prenatal care are less likely to experience postpartum depression. They’re also less likely to have preterm births, more likely to have success in breastfeeding, and more likely to report high satisfaction with their prenatal care.
Our group prenatal care is called Partners in Pregnancy.
Research shows that mindfulness practices reduce mothers’ fears of labor. This childbirth education class helps you focus on the present rather than remembering the past or worrying about the future. Certified Nurse Midwife Kris Tromiczak teaches a nine-week Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting class offered through Regions Hospital Birth Center.
