Teaching Philosophy: I am committed to helping learners develop problem-solving strategies and critical thinking skills necessary to function effectively in the modern health care environment. Instruction focuses on understanding pharmacodynamic principles as a basis for drug therapy knowledge, as well as the ability to interpret data, react to drug therapy problems and initiate change when appropriate.

Why I chose Methodist: I chose to complete my residency at Methodist Hospital because of its strong commitment to providing high quality, patient-centered care. During my interview, I was impressed by the welcoming and supportive nature of the preceptors and staff. It was clear the pharmacists are dedicated to promoting clinical excellence and providing a positive learning environment for residents. The program also offers unique learning experiences that further encourage professional growth. The positive environment and obvious dedication to resident development made Methodist the ideal place for my PGY-1 residency.
