Internships
Are you interested in gaining experience in a clinical research, public health research or lab setting? Does your program require an applied practice experience, or equivalent? HealthPartners Institute offers several health care internship opportunities each year.
Our internships provide a way to bring students, researchers and clinicians together, so students can gain experience in a real-world health care setting. The program is ideal for students who are planning a career in medicine, health sciences, public health or clinical research and want to experience what it’s like up close. Participants work closely with experienced researchers and clinicians receiving mentorship to build technical and professional skills.
Internships may include activities such as: reviewing scientific literature; screening patients for research studies; conducting statistical analyses and creating output reports; completing a final report or presentation; and engaging with medical staff to confirm eligibility of patients for studies. With a wide range of research topics and study timelines, experiences can be aligned with an individual’s career goals and academic interests.
